Okay, I like it. It's pretty much the most original thing I've written in a long time.

That said, I have to re-write it a lot. The whole first chapter thingy doesn't work. I mean, it's clearly one hell of a zinger but I think it blows my wad too soon, for one, and it doesn't feel like software wrote it.

I do not. I have certainly read Neuromancer (I'm not a complete philistine), but it was years ago, I don't have a copy, and no particular quotes stick in my mind. Please suggest some!

Well, if the story takes a turn for the apocalyptic, you could quote the computer from "War Games"

"Lets play Thermonuclear War" and "The only way to win is not to play".
