Note to self

You need not drink beer like you drink water; you don't have another client coming in the door. Take a breath and enjoy the beer with slow, wonderful sips.

I have 1 paper to write, 1 to revise, and 1 pretest to take this weekend. Amazing fun.

Yeah! beer, you're hilarious when tipsy!
Thanks for coming out last night. It's more fun when you hang. I too have a paper to write... Let me know if you want to meet at coffee shop to crank them out!

I need a computer to crank it out, which means I have no laptop power until I actually buy one. :o

HORRAY BEER! I like being a little tipsy, though I could have slowed that with a bit more food before I came out. Oh well, it was great; I came home and ate protein pudding and then had some 100 calorie popcorn. I slept rather well.

The thing you don't seem to understand, in your angst-y stubbornness, is that people don't only drink to get drunk...some actually like trying new things to see how they taste. I was like you at your age, but things change, perspectives change, opinions and ideas change. May my views tomorrow be different than they are today!

"I was like you at your age"
No, you got piss drunk at like 16 and drove home. Your views were like mine? I hardly consider that to be anything like my views.

You're no longer 16, perhaps you forget that. In fact, you turn 21 in 3 months, a full-on legal adult, but I digress.

After I got drunk at 16, I didn't drink again until I was 22 because I didn't see the need for alcohol and I felt anytime I touched a drink, I was going to lose something I really, really enjoyed (that happened to be driving when I was 16). When I was your age (20) I acted much like you are acting right now: hostile, arrogant, and dismissive. Time changes all things and you're no exception.
