Today a girl had a tattoo in Katakana on her arm. I was a bit confused by it, so I asked what it meant.
"It's my name!"
"Your name is...Yachimonechi? Really?"
"No. Tasha."
"Oh, right. Right."
Wow, awkward.

So, can anyone tell me what this might actually mean?

It's not that font in particular, but I'm guessing either she or the tattoo artist used one of those types of fonts (or a table generated with one of those types of fonts) to 'translate' each English letter into the equivalent 'Japanese letter', in the way that only someone who knows absolutely nothing about Japanese can.

It's kind of a difficult mapping for mo->s and ne->h; if you put chi on its side, though, it does pretty much look like A.
