If there was one thing Sarah was right about, it's the need to move on from this old LJ when the relationship ended. I was a little slow at that, but the birth of a new relationship has inspired the creation of a new blog. The URL for this will not be posted here. It seems like I haven't posted in forever, and now I know why. It's that same old thing with blogging though...when things are good you don't often sit down to write about them.

Last night I saw 300 on the IMAX. I hadn't made any plans to see it, but when Wendy called yesterday and mentioned that she, David, and Dan were going to the 12:45 am showing it seemed like a good idea. There's no real reason for this, but I'm in a speTACular mood today. Life is just a happy place to be sometimes.

On Monday Katie's nurse didn't show up, which was odd. No phone call or anything, apparently it was mid-afternoon before my parents found out why. She got a new job that she's working MWF, by the way, oh-somebody-else-was-supposed-to-tell-you. Just got home from the annual Colorado Dems Jefferson-Jackson Dinner. Alexis is in town for the weekend and invited me to come along and sit at one of the Perlmutter tables w/ her. The Postal Service covered Suddenly Everything has Changed. Had to purchase on iTunes. Yay for new music! It's not as emotional as the Lips version of course, but it's a decent enough cover. Tonight was the 1st edition of Screening Liberally, the new offshoot of Drinking Liberally involving movies *and* beverages. It coincided with the Animation Show 3 which was also at the Mayan.
