I'M DONE WITH HIGHSCHOOL!!!!

it is official.

i will be attending scripps college, one of the illustrious claremont colleges, in the fall. while i am thrilled to be going to the school i love, i have been so nervous lately about leaving texas and making completely new friends.

it's refreshing and at the same time terrifying.

i just got back from the downtown library where i received an award for being a finalist in the dallas morning news' poetry competition. there were four other people from my school that received one, too. i read my poem and got up to the microphone and smiled like a big dork and said, "hello!" the poem wasn't my favorite, but i'm glad that i was ( Read more... )
