Yeah, he'd never been away from home overnight before and I missed him to a ridiculous extent. When I go out of town, I miss having him around, but it's cool, because I know he's at home, comfortable and fed and happy. But picturing him in a kennel, miserable enough to be giving everyone in sight a dirty look, makes me so sad. I couldn't even laugh at the pictures of him in his cone that my boyfriend took, because I was too busy thinking, "MY BABY, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU
( ... )
But I would love to come to Ireland at some point, no joke. Beautiful places, beautiful accents (sorry, does that get annoying? it's so true!), and as a bonus, it's where my dad's family comes from, way back. We were never able to pinpoint an area, so I'd better just see the whole country. You know, just to cover all my bases.
Haha it doesn't get annoying, but it's more the people in the South have the really nice accents, which I love! Up here in the North our tones are a bit flatter and less romantic to listen to. Perhaps I should try to locate a recording of my voice, or maybe best not...
You so should! I love when my friends make voice or video posts or things where you can see their handwriting. It really drives home how they're not just words on a page.
Me, too. I lived near the water for the first nine years of my life and I didn't realize how much I'd missed it until I moved to another oceanside city fourteen years ago. I don't even swim much, but it's so nice to walk along and wade into and watch the sunset over.
And he does, right? He's happily reinstalled at home now and not giving anyone dirty looks, thankfully.

Lovely photographs I like beaches a lot, not to sit, but to walk along.

I like the beach in winter. :)

It's nice to have the entire beach to yourself! And not feel anxiety over wearing a bathing suit in front of a bunch of strangers.
