So last night was an evening of firsts. As I lie on the bed I noticed that my ankles were...nonexistent. There was no bone on the sides anymore. I reached down, pressed onto my ankles with a finger, and tada! Pitting edema. Meaning that when I pressed down and removed my finger, an indention remained. Seriously?!? It is 2:15 AM and for the 7th night in a week and a half some little wild creature has woken me from my sleep. Yes, this being the opossum. Cute and harmless as he is, he has GOT to go. Goodness. Jon and I just returned from our trip to Houston. Namely it was for my yearly check-up at MD Anderson Cancer Center but we made a two night, three day trip out of it.

Enjoyed a decently relaxing weekend. Babysat Friday night, but my neighbor set it up so that I hardly had any work to do for the 4 kids. The eldest made dinner and the 9 year old cleaned up. I supervised (and helped) then watched Bedtime Stories and part of Tale of Despereaux. It was good though I was ready for bed at 8:30 when the 4 year old fell ( Read more... )
