writing this from my new computer. Well, at least it's new to me. I paid 70$ for a computer at the U of I surplus store. I rule.

So yeah, it's been kinda busy. I'm still working two jobs at once, two days a week in the Target stockroom and four days a week at the N Dodge Hy-Vee meat department. I got hired yesterday as a meatman at the N Dodge Hy-Vee. I'm fairly excited for it, the job should be pretty fun, or at least be a somewhat interesting experience. The pay isn't that great to start out with, but I'm sure it'll beat the shit out of the job I just put my 2 week notice in for. I'm still keeping the other job I have in the Target ( Read more... )

It's been pretty busy the last few days around here. Nick and some other folks were here for a couple of days, it's nice to hang out again. The Iowa City Jazz Festival came and went this weekend. Yesterday's thrift store shopping yielded some nice finds. An early 70's Brazilian samba compilation lp with a ton of sweet artists and a ton of cuica. Also found a Sergio Mendes Brasil '66 lp I'm not ashamed to find pretty enjoyable. Gearing up for this weekend which should be great. I gave plasma for the first time today, fun times. Actually it was really easy and I can get up to $50 a week to do it. Plus I'm saving lives, go me.
