Reading Heart of Darkness I feel completely entranced. How is it that I book I have read at least a dozen times in my life (honestly, it could be twice that much) can still pull me in like this? Conrad is, next to Shakespeare, the master of the English language. Also, Marlow is the greatest narrator in the history of literature. Strong claims, ( Read more... )

Lenkowski did this for a lot of the seminar, which was really annoying. Then again he talks about the German every couple of seminars - did that a bunch in Nietzche and Hegel.
