Yesterday was the fateful day when I took my GREs; unfortunately, I walked away from them defeated rather than basking in triumph. I scored a generally respectable 1240 (610 Verbal, 630 Quanitative), but I know one of my two essays (which are not instantly graded) is pretty weak. One of the dorkier things I've always taken personal pride in is that I have a lifetime batting average of 1.000 when it comes to job interviews. Getting an interview is the tricky part of the equation, but once I get that far I'm golden. I've had something like six in my lifetime, and each had yielded a job.
