And it's *finally* cooled off! We set yet ANOTHER high-temp record just this week. I was wondering if October got lost on it's way to North Carolina...

Oh, how lovely is the rain! I can't believe how much I missed it! I've moved 'office' for the day - instead of working upstairs, I've brought the laptop down to the kitchen table so I can look out the sliding doors at the lovely rain. I wonder if we'll get enough to top up all the reservoirs...it'd probably have to rain for the next month for that though.

We are sharing some of our with you I see. I am a greedy rain taker. I cant believe how little rain we got this year. I have never really experienced a drought so this was new for me. I hated that i put so much effort into my yard this year too only to see it fail because I couldn't provide the water consumption the grass and plants needed. It started off so fantastically too. Here's hoping for home grown tomatoes next year.

by the way, i like the things you learned yesterday, i got a good giggle.
