Sadly, while my new job is going generally well, they're slightly more big brother than most other companies I've worked at, and block both chat programs and "message boards and clubs" websites. At some point, I may try and make amends for not posting anything in forever, but I figured I should put this in here.

Today is my last day at work. For the first time (excluding internships) I'm leaving a job of my own volition, and a week from Monday, I'll start with a new company that's much closer, for a much nicer salary.

Wizards of the Coast has posted the questions given to applicants who want a job in their Role Playing Game R&D division, along with the answers mearls gave, and commentary by 3E honcho Jesse Decker. It's fascinating to see how someone who thinks about game rules and balance for a living thinks about this stuff.

This past weekend, we went to Serenity with J&A Friday night. Allison, being insane, got into line at 4:30 for a 7:30 show, but was rewarded with a Serenity poster for her devotion (by being first in line). The weekend before last, Kim and I drove to Pennsylvania for bn29 and zagthaar's wedding. Thursday was the drive to the hotel, Friday we met up with the rest of the groomsmen for tuxedo fittings, the rehersal, and dinner, and Saturday was the wedding.
