According to this article, a poll by GE Money found that "In India, 21 per cent of females said that their men should spend between 500-5,000 dollars on this day, a view shared by only seven per cent of men". 500 dollars! Since early November, I've been an Albanian. Or is it, an Albanyian. Or maybe it' a Trojan. Anyhoo, I'm in Upstate NY now, in the city of Troy, doing a Postdoc at RPI.

Frankly, the vapidity of life, the noxiousness of social contact and the insurmountable jejunity of it all leaves me in the midden of life. Should I abnegate? or should I fusticate this kwashiorker, this disease that feeds on my malcontent? Or am I forever doomed to this moribund existence? Maybe in sciomancy lies my answer.

I got up early enough and made it to Nationwide Arena by 7:15a. Parked as close as to the finish as I could get, and even though I had to pay $5, I felt I would thank myself at the end.
