If I don't write this post in one go, I'll never write it -- which is what I've been (not)doing for the past three months -- so I'm just going to do it, sloppily, imperfectly, never mind that I wanted to say something meaningful about illness and loss and what it means to have the part of you that writes just shut down.

I've had a pretty rough time since January. )

Oh, you had a macular degeneration scare as well? (OK, less of a scare for me than it sounds like it was for you -- I was sort of "... yeah, the Plaquenil's working, I'll take the blindness if it means I can still walk".)

I am not sure what else to say, other than you know where I am on the internet, and I am thinking about you. <3333333

taking care of yourself is definitely the most important thing! and I hope that things are on the up-swing for you.

as far as social media, I'm on livejournal for most fandom related stuff, but I'm on twitter and also on tumblr, so feel free to follow me on either or both!

(ridiculously late reply)

I just added you on both tumblr and twitter! I have RL people on my twitter account, so mine's not very fannish either. :)

I am glad to see that you're okay - even though health-wise things haven't been so great. I really do hope that things improve for you :( And I do hope you write fic (oh yessss) or find something to do with this journal that makes you happy. Don't push yourself though - nothing's fun if it feels forced.

Take care of yourself :)

*hugs* its good to hear from you on LJ - i do still follow on twitter as well which is probably the best way to stay in touch. i myself only post rarely on livejournal these days.

ugh plaquenil. my grandmother lost her central vision because of that drug; she could see but not well enough to read. im glad that you just had a false alarm, be sure to get tested as often as possible!! (im sure you know this but ill say it anyway, i dont want you to have to go through what my gran experienced.) as for depression, i know that struggle and its pretty much a life long thing, i think. but, im glad youre doing better & i hope you continue the upward trend. :) stay strong!

dont feel like you have to post certain things or to entertain any of us - just write when you want about whatever you want.
