Phew!! Thank God tomorrows friday! This week was our first week at school. So far I'm VERY happy, but also VERY overwhelmed. I can tell that this year is going to sooooo much better then the last 2 years. Because I can focus on one school I feel much more organized and together. I have about 200 students most of which want to be in band.

Speaking of money, your school should have gotten money specifically for music, art, and PE from the Governator. There are two grants in his budget one is for staff development type things and the other is for equipment. it around $50 ADA and you should see some of that money. I know the school district already have it because I had to submit 'wishlists' to all of my school principals because they have this money and they can't spend it all on PE equipment. I don't know how you would go about asking about the grants but it;s something you might want to look into.

Oh yeah, I know ALL about that grant. It's just waiting to physically have it is the problem. I've already started making my wishlists sooo here's hoping!

yay for the right decision! and yes, force yourself to make friends. it's funny, but aside from my "boys" at depot, all the friend-types that i have are all 45+ women... and they're a RIOT. and yes, they're fun to go out drinking with! but i'm glad you're happy, hun. :)

Yeah, I have discovered some of the "older" teachers are crazy funny. The art teacher and I basically have all the same piercings except she has a tongue ring, but who knows how old she is. Our school is overrun by females so having "boys" is going to be tough, though probably better that way. Martin would probably have a cow if I hung out with other boys all the time. Eh, I'd rather hang out with girls now anyway. . .
