some nutjobs at Pioneer have developed a new type of blu-ray disc (which is just like a DVD, but holds 5x as much data - they stand a chance at holding the movies of the future)... and they made it out of corn....

I'm sure you can eat that thing. I wonder if they will make a 'blue corn chip' variety as well..
and if you do a bad burn, at least the results are edible.
