I've noticed that so far most of the people voting for me are people I've met and the people voting for rhodri are people I haven't met. I thought it would be the other way round.
I even voted for her, and she still lost. There's not a lot else I could have done, other than withdraw from the contest altogether and subsequently suffer months of teasing from wardytron on top of all the usual teasing I get from wardytron.
Oh man, last night for Fi I made roasted cod fillets with roasted vine tomatoes, red wine risotto - in a mould, to make it cylindrical - and stir fried vegetables, in a mould. On a sodding Thursday. Today, because she's in Paris, I am having Sausage Sandwich.
Perhaps in the interests of fairness and balance, you could get Jackson Pollock and Morgan Fairchild to chair the final, seeing how they possess two surnames each.
Smeaton was an easy choice because how it doesn't really matter what I vote, Fry will win. However, the rhodri/wardytron choice was much more difficult. In the end rhodri lost out, as he's dressed as an Arab, and I understand racism is de rigueur in such matters.
Hello. This was a toughie. My main criteria whilst choosing who to vote for was "which of these two cretins has caused me the least amount of displeasure in my life, since I've known them (but not in a gay way)"? Well, I was thinking about it, and I remembered that time wardytron and I stood on the Stroud Green Road and watched some skinheads start a huge fight with the staff at Pappagone, shortly after Italy had just won the World Cup Final, and I thought "Oh yes, that was good". But then I remembered the time rhodri played that free show with Scritti Politti at the Tate, and that was good too. So in the end I voted for wardytron and then logged in again as whoyouwanted and voted for rhodri. I hope this is acceptable. Also, I guess this proves that a Scritti Politti gig is equally as enjoyable as watching some hooligans having a fight on the Stroud Green Road. They can use that as one of their publicity quotes if they like, I don't mind.
(I meant Scritti Politti could use it as their publicity quote by the way, not the hooligans. Although they're welcome to it too, I suppose. I'm sure I'd be more inclined to turn up to watch a fight if it was billed as promising the same amount of enjoyment as a Scritti Politti gig.)
I remember that, and wondering whether the fact that one of the skinheads was black should be viewed as a welcome sign of something or other and then deciding it probably shouldn't.
