So, I've been keeping a light eye on the house market for a horse ready place to move to. It would need some pasture, at least a 3 stall barn and a house worth living in. I saw two in the area that fit the bill and spoke to a finance guru to run numbers based on that price and the expected list price of my current home

Mortgages can be for any time period. If looking get an estimate for one that ends when this does. It will also probably have a lower interest rate. That's the best comparison.
