One of the schools I applied to for undergrad, oh-so-many years ago, was Paul Smith's College, up in the Adirondacks. They had a farrier program at the time-- I'm not sure if they still do. I GET horses. And getting kicked every once in a while I can deal with...I guess I'm having one of those "why can't I be blissfully ignorant" days

I organized an evening of drinks with a few of the ladies from work and a couple of fellow interns. We went to a nice outdoorsy-patio bar this evening-- apparently one of the perks, according to my co-worker, is that hot Wall Street guys hang out there. Half of us are happily dating or (in one case) married to someone, but none of us are the type

It’s scary to think that it’s almost August-and I leave NYC on August 19th! Time’s flying by, and I feel as though there’s so much I’d still like to explore here. Getting back in touch with Alyssa has been great as well. I find myself slightly tentative, given our friendship in the past, but it is lovely to see her doing so well. As I was discussing with both Linnea and Julie, it’s nice to reconnect with old friends and see how much happier and more confident we all are these days. Makes me proud of us

I’m starting this thing because there are too many things in my head that I always say I’ll write down and never do. I always claim I don’t have the time while I’m in school, which may or may not be a valid excuse-but at any rate, it’s the summer time and I’m not in school and I’m working an internship in NYC and having the most contented weekends
