Today, I am talking to Jill and she informs me of some events that transpire in her religion class. Apparently, a group of kids made the argument that the "enemy" in war needs not be treated as a human being. Only Jill and a few other students spoke out against this. I'm sorry i oppose the loss of human life and don't feel people should have to fight each other just because their governments or leaders tell them to. Also, you are making accusations that have nothing to do with the armbands and on top of that, i don't see how the argument can be made that "rights and freedoms" need to be fought for. Rights and freedoms are inherent to the fact that i was born in, and so far, have chosen to accept the form of government in this country. Also, these rights are birth rights because i am a human being. A privelege would need protecting,the only protection rights need are from the government. I will not be forced into fighting against a sibling, another human being. When we fight each other the only ones who win are the governments/leaders, because they reap all the benefits and have none of the responsibility. I will NEVER raise arms against another human being. Bobby I am sorry I don't want to kill people. Also, the Iraqi prison guards lived in relative safety. Even if they did not, NOTHING ( ... )
