So I signed up to to NaNoWriMo this year. I've never done it before, but my friend Chloe wheedled me into it. As I haven't done any writing for a while, I figure I'm due for some literary exercise ( Read more... )

I always thought Beast looked way better as the Beast. He looked all puny after he turned back into the French prince. :(

I loved that series until they... well, did you watch it all? I don't want to give anything away, but eventually there was a major change that I hated.

And that's part of the reason I loved Gargoyles - the beauty and the beast aspect (plus, 'beauty' was a totally kickass mixed-race intelligent woman, which isn't that common, and the 'beast' could freaking fly).

CAPCOOOOM, are you okay? I saw on the news today that NK fired at SK and SK retaliated. Just want to make sure you are alive and well and getting out of there soon - I know you said you wanted to move to Japan.

I'm doing fine - other than hearing some fighter jets overhead yesterday I didn't have a clue anything was going on until I got to work and my Korean co-workers told me. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for updates from the US Embassy and I have everything gathered in case of an evacuation, but I'm not going to freak out too much until the Koreans start freaking out. This has all of the ear-marks of one of N. Korea's temper tantrums.

I'm here until February at least, but I may end up extending a few months for my dental stuff. These plans will change, obviously, if the situation with N. Korea gets more serious.

I survived! =D And thus far everything's good. South Korea ran some drills yesterday that the North was threatening military retaliation for, and then, according to the Korea Herald:

In a statement issued two and a half hours after the exercise, the North Korean military said, “The South’s vile military provocations do not deserve even a passing notice.”
