Crying

I cry far too easily to suit me. When most folks see or hear something that they like, or that touches them, they get excited, or smile, or openly express it some way. Not me. I just sit practically expressionless and fight back tears. I am taking ASL at church, and I am concerned about the facial expression part of it. Learning the signs part ( Read more... )

For a prosaic thought, maybe it's due to overactive tear ducts or some other biological rationale?

No, it's not biological, or at least not in that sense. It's obviously biological in a mental sense. I know it's not just overactive tear ducts because the feeling comes with it, and letting it out is a relief. It's connected to feelings. Woment don't have have a corner on it.

Ah I see. Yes, tears aren't connected to gender. I don't consider myself as someone who cries easily. You are who you are, and I'm glad to read honest entries like this one. :)
