At SXSW, the ratio was out of wack...which surprised me a lot. Isn't it more about building spaces that attract women? There were actually a good number of sessions at sxsw that were about promoting women in the tech world...and yet I really didn't want to attend. I just don't want to be considered one of those "women".

There was a keynote speaker at sxsw...a female one that admitted that women (cognitively) cannot do the same things as men. In regards to the games we choose to play. Men are naturally attracted toward one-person shooter games and women are attracted to games that are inherently social. Perhaps it's to examine the industries that attract women and develop spaces for them. Just a thought...

There was a great panel by Guy Kawasaki at sxsw that was compromised mostly of women...and that itself was great enough.
