My long photo filled weekend.

Modeling is hard work. Don't let anyone tell you different. I've spent the last two days modeling for up to 7 hours at a stretch, only pausing to change sets, lighting, or costumes. It can be fun, but there is an awful amount of work involved. You move, flex, stretch, and hold positions that most of the time are not natural. You have to think. ( Read more... )

Being the consumate bike geek whore that I am, (3 motorcycles in 3 years) 6 through my riding career, so that's a new bike every 2 yrs or so.

Gotta know, Gotta know, what kind of bike?

This is also a respect thing, there are certain bikes that lend themselves to art.
Most classic BMWers, Harleys, Triumphs (of which I own know)

My website is http://www.firewolves.net/ but under photos and tiger is the current
beast. Ironically named Grendal.

Anyways back to work.

"Modeling is hard work. Don't let anyone tell you different"

Art modelling? I imagine.
I thought about doing it when I thought it was good money, then rejected it not because of the nudity (I used to be shy), but because of the idea of staying still for so long...I knew I'd go nuts.

I've done some personal photo shoots, and yeah, it can drain you (I haven't figured out why).

Frankly I think Art Modeling can be a little easier, at least for me ( ... )

Did the corset work out?

Hell, yes. The photographer has no issue with giving you a listed credit in terms of "One of a kind Corset Construction and Design by ______". It fit very well. I was able to lace it almost all the way closed. I think only 3/4 of an inch was left open. I'm thinking of making you an offer. We should chat.

Great to hear it! I need to create a web presence for my corset and beauty products work. If I don't get back to you in time with the info please have them credit 'Jim Dattolo, mrpet AT cilantrophobia DOT net' try and have them obfuscate the email addy so that I don't get tons-o-spam.

I should be at the Diesel if you want to chat in person, if we miss each other you can always email me.

I also dropped a bike this weekend, but that's while I was riding it ;P. Glad you got out of the way, I don't know if those boots would've supported the weight of the bike if it managed to land on your foot (my boot barely did, I'm so glad I ordered functional ones).

Hee. The funny thing was they were all worried about me, and I was more worried about the bike. Everybody rushed over asking me, "Are you alright? Are you sure? . . ." and there I was going, "OMG did I hurt the bike? Is the bike okay?" The man lending us the bike was really sweet and told us how amused he was that his bike was going to be a "porn star". I would have been so sad if the bike had been hurt. But it wasn't harmed. Just a tiny bit muddy.

Ah, the sign of a true biker - more concerned about the bike than about yourself. Although that's somewhat less meaningful when the bike wasn't in motion when it fell over ;P. Sounds like it came through like my bike did - a couple of new scuffs but that's it (it didn't eat its turn signal! I was so happy). In my case I'm guessing that's partially due to the fact that my foot kept it from going all the way down.

I'll bet the bike was a Ducati, and if I didn't know better I'd guess it was Bratling's Hello Ducati. Which IIRC already had some scuffs on it, so a few more wouldn't make a difference ;P.

No, it wasn't Bratling's. Although it might have been a Ducati.

Oooh, can't wait to see your photos, lady!

Mr. Harkavy is a very, very talented man. I had lots of fun doing the last set, and the photos are GORGEOUS. He and I are meeting up tonight to talk about various other photoshoots. (I'm finally getting off my ass and working on my Temple Prostitute website) He's a love, too.

And I know what you mean about modelling being work. It's fun work, yes. But it is work.

I'm glad you weren't hurt too bad when the motorcycle tipped!

He is a totally sweetie and yes, I agree, takes beautiful pictures.

I'm glad I wasn't hurt too. I'm pretty sure I was perched on the foot holds in a semi-upright position when it happend, I'm only too glad I was able to push off and mostly swing my body out of the way of the bike. It reminded me of the time Ro and I were in Jamaica. We were sailing of the cost near the resort we were staying at. The winds were very eratic and strong. We brought the boat around to head back to shore when the wind changed direction and caused us to capsize. I was nearest to the water when it happened. I didn't think. I just reacted. I threw my legs over my head so I would flip away from the boat and not get conked on the head by the mast or sail. It was a very tiny two person size craft. Again, bruised from impact, but not really harmed. It's not something I want to ever rely on to heavily. But, still, it's a comfort to know that in potentially dangerous situations, my body seems to know what to do.

As my stepfather taught me, "He who hesitates is losts" I've always interpreted that to mean, don't think do.

But yeah I capsized on the Charles, similar wind issue, nothing like swimming in the sludge.

I do believe I mutated a bit that day. ;-)

Ok now I'm totally procrastinating, but my new kilt is in and yeah, I get to wear it tonight. Just wish I knew where to get black leggings, left the other pair at home. Oh well there's still time.
