A goal this year is to be more creative as well as polishing and developing some new skills sets.
I've been meaning to learn how to knit socks for a long long time now. Any of you knittycrazy folks out there wanna show me how?

Socks aren't too hard, generally, as long as you know how to use DPNs.

Babeh, I will show you any time! I'm a knittin' freak!!! I made curley toed elf booties for my best friends brand new baby. They were the cutest damn things in the whole world. Oddly enough, the color scheme matches your hair... heh heh...

Curley toeed booties sound fab.
I keep seeing the most darling little dance slippers for belly dancers.
It might be marvelous to knit a pair a size or two larger then needed and then boil them so they felt. Add a soft leather sole and you've got perfect dance slippers. Have you ever made wool felt from scratch? I know how, and I'd be happy to show you.
We should definitely have a knittin' date.

Ha! So few cherries left to pop, and you have discovered one! I have not felted. There is a knitting book out there that has amazing felted socks (magic knitting or something? dunno) and I think bellydance felted socks with soles would rock my world. Oooh! Ooh! When are we going to get together and plan the evil takeover of the world? Er, um, I mean, ah, knit and bitch?

You tell me darlin'. Frankly, it will have to be when I feel a little healthier. I'm praying that staying home tomorrow and getting some more rest will kill kill kill this dreaded nastiness. I'm so not looking forward to my entire weekend being monopolized by being a snot farm.
But, in any case, tell me when you're free and we can try and plan from there. I'm more then willing to drive out your way if it helps.

I had a dream about knitted socks awhile back...they were bright rainbow colored and beautiful, and every time I see socks even sort of resembling them I am a little gah-gah.
