For the past two days, hours have melted away from consciousness. Cars roar past. Leaves flutter violently from the passage of the slightest breeze. The filtered sunlight through the canopy above stuns and invigorates our wearied yet capable bodies. In the company of active personalities, bliss is found. Man are youok? What perilious lives we lead. I have cars buzzing past me at 45mph everyday. My good friend recently got hit and the guy took off, destroyed his beautiful Peugot and broke his beautiful thumb!

Be safe

Once at work I bandaged up my hands and took some aspirin. This incident was considerably mild despite the fact that several hundred pounds of metal and plastic drove into me. The driver failed to look both ways before initiating their turn so the speed was not too fast. The fender and saddle bag suffered the most and yet both were fixable for the most part.

Thanks for the concern. The funny thing is that I was wearing a reflective vest, it was broad daylight despite being in the morning, and I had a helmet on although it wasn't needed fortunately. Still it happened. I carry bandaids with me so it was a matter of a couple of minutes before I was on my way again.

Yikes. I think I broke something like four helmets as a kid. It's kind of scary to think back on all the times you should've died...

It makes me happy that you wear a helmet and reflective vest and carry bandaids. Hope you are okay!

You should take pictures of your battle wounds. I scalped my knee and shin last summer and now wish I had the evidence of what it looked like in its fresh glory as opposed to the faded, wilty, totally unimpressive scar.
