Well, I didn't get the promotion I went for but had the interview feedback today and it was for the right reasons. Apparently I was just pipped at the post by another candidate with two years' more experience, which is fair enough. Today I completed the letter writing task for the yc job. I think it went OK, but it's one of those situations where there are a number of ways of getting it right, and a number of common boo-boos I'm sure they're watching for. Well it's been a while but here I am again. C had his school inspected by the government yesterday (all went very well - they are "good with outstanding features", just like my school. C and I are on the last day of our two week holiday in Andalucia....we´ve just had two weeks in the gorgeous Alpujarra mountains south of Granada. Mmmmmmm como me gusta pulpo a la gallega. Y el vino Ribeiro. There was a Galician food and wine festival today which started just as class finished so I´ve been there and hoovered up tons of barbecued meat, Galician style octopus and various other mariscos. It´s not often that you go to southern Spain during Easter only to hear that the weather is better back in the UK but that was the story of last week! A lot of the traditional Andalusian Easter processions were cancelled because of rain last week which has been a big blow to all the people who have prepared for them all year.
