Lately, I've been feeling kind of tired but industrious. An odd combination, yes. Things feel...rhythmic, if that makes sense. Predictable, almost. Days pass as if counts on a mentronome; constant, without meaning. School is pleasant, yes. The people around me certainly aren't boring. And yet I feel...bored. I need something new and exciting. Some ( Read more... )

I've been feeling the same way lately, about how days just keep going by and one day we'll be dead.
...yeah, that's optimistic.

Anyway. You're not alone.

I've been experiencing similar feelings of life being more "blah" than it usually is. Looking at the past couple of years, I've decided (for me) that the boredom is due to a lack of theatrical extracurricular activities (read: Dublin Theatre Company) in my life. Perhaps your boredom has similar roots? Was there some activity you took part in last year which you are not taking part in this year?

No; I think it is more that I haven't been taking part in any extra cirriculars (aside from occasional spurts of fast horseback riding) for a while, which is upsetting. My parents usually don't have the time/ flexibility in their schedules to take me places, so organizing a set time when I can show up at a "practice" or lesson outside of school is basically impossible. I wish I could.

Similar feelings here about life. However, mine are a result of my greater connection with reality this year....waaaaaahhhhh!!!

And chem is the easiest subject I've had in all of high school. You refer to AP Chem?

No. I do not. The teacher I have is Mr. Schnell; obviously, you have a different teacher.

Teacher I HAD. And I didn't have much of a teacher, we were basically teaching ourselves the entire year (not that she didn't still feel obligated to give us copious amounts of work). The learning curve felt like I was going up a speed bump, the content in first year chem so simplistic. Easy A.

But then again, I have no artistic talent and some writing is a labor for me.

Ooops, accident. You're a senior; I did know that, I just temporarily forgot. Remy and Sean are in my class, and, well, the teacher goes pretty fast. We get confused.
