It all depends on the circumstances of the relationship. If it's a long distance one, then chances are it's not going to still be working by second semester. Having a relationship doesn't mean your options aren't still open, it just means it'd take a little more time for certain things to happen, that is all.

If you have someone you want to have a relationship with, I say go for it, might as well, heh.
