Since I obviously can't play the tuba anymore, I bought a new guitar because I can. I bought a low-end kind, about $200 for the entire package, using a thinner-than-typical string. i tried to take a guitar class a few months ago through coastline community college, but it got canceled on the second class =( ... i have a dvd that teaches how to play, but i always learn like 5 chords and then don't do it for a while and forget everything.

and it's hard for me to spend money too, running is surprisingly expensive, ick, but i'm only gonna do it for like 6 months. the half marathon in long beach was fun though, i kinda want to do the bike tour next year.

how long will you be here when you come for thanksgiving?

Whaddaya mean you can't play the tuba? I thought New Orleans had random marching bands walking around town 24/7. You could totally get in on that.

Buying a tuba is completely out of my budget. The cheapest you can get is a sousaphone for $5000. Plus, it's not like I'm THAT close to New Orleans, and I'm not exactly chums with the musicians there either.
