Day 2 in Atlanta. The weather outside is 18 F. The high is expected to reach 40 F in mid-afternoon. I went to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on Auburn St, several blocks away from Downtown. Just a trivia fact to throw out there...apparently DOW's CEO was one of the people considered to hold the cabinet position of the US Department of Energy by the Obama Campaign. Nothing's final, but it sounds like the CEO politely declined because everyone in the plants know we're getting ready for a tough time.

Now that Obama is the President Elect, and being the only extroverted Democrat in the office building, I'm expected to defend every screw-up that he makes in the next 4 years.

I've been reading your LiveJournal entries regularly, but there's nothing special to report here in the bayou. My co-workers are just as enthralled with the LSU tigers as last year. I returned to Plaquemine, LA to assess the damage Hurricane Gustav did to the town. The eye of the storm passed directly over Plaquemine and was a category 2 hurricane at the time.
