Someone stole about $200 from my wallet Sunday while I was in the gym. I'm guessing that it was one of the kids at summer camp. I kinda set myself up for this one. I usually lock my wallet in the car whenever I go to the gym. Apparently, the UCI Anteaters Baseball team is playing the local college LSU this week. It's winding down to the end of the season, and this is the last round until the college world series. I found a recent article in our local newspaper regarding Dow Chemical. Apparently the plant has been leaking Vinyl Chloride into our drinking water. Vinyl Chloride is a known carcinogen and has a host of bad health effects. The EPA monitors it (poorly, like everything else the EPA monitors), and one of their tests exceeded the threshold. New Orleans holds an annual Jazz celebration in April. Given that New Orleans is the birthplace and preservation of Jazz, this event is almost as big as the infamous Mardi Gras.
