( There were upsides to having a brother without a soul. The upsides were small and not at all worth the trade-off, but even Dean sometimes found it prudent to count his blessings. )

I don't like soul-less Sam. I don't like soul-less Sam fics. I don't read soul-less Sam fics.

Keep it up with those 'out of date' fics - love it! Oh yeah, that albuterol is heaven when you can't breathe (what a rush!). You captured so well Dean's ambivalence about robo-Sam, the lingering sense of betrayel and even hatred toward what is almost a possession state of his brother. Also, the awareness of mortality that surprises robo-Sam, perhaps prompting him to explore a new relationship with Dean - that's my take, at least. Thanks so much for your fic! I'm going to be reading it over many times to enjoy the depth and subtlety of your characterization.

You're my new favorite :D I am flattered beyond words. When Show was dealing with this, I was a little surprised by the intensity of Dean's anger toward soulless!Sam. I tried to embrace it in this fic in order to understand it a little better. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Thank you!

This was really fun. I love how Dean just doesn't want to do this AT ALL but he knows it's still his brother - somewhere. Great tension between the two boys!!!

Dean's voice was great, and his dynamic with the Sambot felt very true to what happened in the show.
