Does anyone know what it takes to cross the Canadian border for a few hours?

coming from MI you usually need a driver's license, AND either your birth certificate or a passport.

I believe it is Oct and they will require a passport regardless, but you need a license and certificate now, but come later in the year you can't get over without a passport - I can ask Todd when it is for sure, he told me about it.

If you bring a child, though, you HAVE to have their birth certificate. No exceptions. Otherwise, I have always just used my drivers license. As it has been mentioned, that is going to change soon - I heard that we have until 2006, though.
