Saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night. It was SO fucking amazing. So different from the original, it's pretty difficult to even attempt to compare the two. I really enjoyed the darker interpretation of it though. Tim Burton is clearly a god ( Read more... )

I LOVED Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too! And you're right about not really being able to compare the two because they're so different. And I agree about Tim Burton, he's amazing.

The whole point is that the new one was based more on the book than the first movie. Hence the different name. Now I just have to see it...

Oh, I know it was based more on the book. But people still try to draw comparisons between the two movies and say which one is "better," and I just don't see how that's possible to do.

And yes, you HAVE to see it. It's fantastic.

Totally agree with you about Tim Burton being a god, and the new version being amazing.
