The act of blogging has become so very unlike the act of writing in that I can't seem to think of the content of blogs being divorced from some reflection on the medium itself these days. Or feelings or something. Is that the name of a record, "feelings of something like it"... I dunno.

My two morning rituals consist of a.) bathing b.) eating, not necessarily in that order. There's a very special day of the year on which I do neither or those things (today, Yom Kippur), and even though I've done it, oh, 15 times, it's always extremely notable and probably the best way to set the day apart. Amazing how each successive version of iTunes seems worse than the last. Must have been a pretty darn good program to begin with to have successfully suffered so many downgrading. V 10.0, huh?

Gotten a few unexpected votes of confidence from respected elders recently, along the lines of, "well, you know what you're doing, so a.) I'm interested in hearing what you have to say b.) you can take care of yourself/help others". What a sweet thing to hear. In the increasingly less wild frontier of the internet, I am amused and generally not in agreement with the idea of stylish venue for content trumping content. Look at my website and you'll know this is a belief I hold. I respect that people don't want to blog in the style of this place as it was when it was abuzz in, say 2005. That is cool.
