Employees must wash hands

Let's imagine you're at a restaurant and you are using the bathroom. You see the chef or someone who works in the kitchen use the toilet and not wash his/her hands.

Are you still going to eat there?

dining, gross

I'd think it was a little gross, but I wouldn't automatically assume it translated to bathroom germs in my food. Like jennybliss said, a lot of places have a double-wash policy, so they probably washed in the kitchen itself before actually preparing food. But I still think I'd bring it up to a manager; it is meant to be a double wash policy, and even if just for customers' peace of mind the staff should be reminded to wash in the restroom as well. Bad for business otherwise!

I wouldn't mind. Most places have a policy, that as soon as you leave the kitchen or whatever area is employees only, you must wash your hands before returning to work, and there are hand washing sinks in the back.

Depends. If s/he just did a #1, probably. But a #2 and no wash, no fucking way. Also, for either one I would tell the manager what I saw.

I had FOOD POISONING last week.

That being the case I would immediately approach the manager in a LOUD VOICE and voice my concerns, instruct them that I (and any friends) were leaving immediately and would be contacting the appropriate authorities.
