Hurray for modern medicine

 I finally went to the doctor for my sinuses, so I now have antibiotics and nasal spray, and hope that some day soon I'll feel well enough to function.  The resident also cleaned out one of my ears, which was quite painful.   Since when do doctors stick long pointy things in your ears to clean them?  I was SOOOO relieved when she finally decided to ( Read more... )

Long pointy things in the ear sounds really unpleasant! I'm glad to hear that you got the pressure relieved without having to undergo that procedure!

Well, she spent some time using the long pointy things first. My ear was very sore all afternoon but seems to be better now, so I don't think she did any damage (I hope!)

I remember having my ears cleaned out once and the process made me more than damp. I don't know why she would put someething in your ear--I thought this was always a no-no. Glad you got some needed attention and hope you are back to normal soon.

And yes, the ear-cleaning operation does tend to make one rather wet. She was good about that, though. She covered my shoulder with a towel and one of those big blue absorbent pads, so I was almost completely dry.
