Antibiotics, Round 2
Well, the sinus infection managed to brush off last week's antibiotic, so today I'm starting a new one. I do feel some better than I did before round one, but I'm really out of patience with this pesky bug, and I want it GONE.

Hurray for modern medicine
I finally went to the doctor for my sinuses, so I now have antibiotics and nasal spray, and hope that some day soon I'll feel well enough to function. The resident also cleaned out one of my ears, which was quite painful. Since when do doctors stick long pointy things in your ears to clean them? Not a bad day
I have been in something of a funk lately, so I'm pretty happy with today. I gave up on the "Walk at Home" tapes after trying one that was on YouTube, and finding the "gentle warmup" too vigorous for me. Uh oh!
Mark has the flu. He called me at 1 am Tuesday (i.e. what I consider Monday night) totally freaked out because he was shaking. At first he told me he was convulsing, which had me pretty freaked out as well, but when I got down there, he was "just" having bad chills. Crisis Averted....
...at least for now. I heard from my doc's office today. They're still going to try to get the insurance company to pay for my current meds, and in the meantime they're going to give me samples. That means a 40-mile round trip tomorrow in the car with no heat, but much better than nothing. This is a big relief. Even if the insurance continues ( Read more... ) -
Fun With Insurance
So I tried to refill my prescription for antidepressants yesterday, and it was denied as needing a prior authorization. All very logical EXCEPT that my insurance has been paying for it since August without a word of complaint. Then my doctor sent in the request for approval and it was denied. A truly boring update
I haven't posted here lately because there really isn't much of anything to report from Chez BB. I still have my Christmas cold (the gift that keeps on giving!) and the car is showing signs of additional problems after my little pre-Christmas mishap (no heat! ouch!)
