As much as I would like to quit my job, I am not yet in a position to do that.

I decided I am just not going to use resources I have tended to use in the past to attempt any sort of discussion about anything meaningful.

I just need to find better outlets. I am tired of just talking about things and ready to do something, although I'm not sure what that is.

I can't stop talking about my particular passions, but I can try to find places and people where it is more appropriate and suitable, if that makes sense.

At first I thought you quit your job, which made me really excited, but then I thought for sure you meant you were going to quit talking about politics, which just made me really sad. Now I am confused.

Sorry for the confusion; I was not trying to be intentionally obtuse. See my reply to Jessica for (maybe) a better explanation.

This kind of legislation passed in MN. Although I was and am completely against it, it hasn't really been a big deal. The bars and restaurants are still busy and even the bars and restaurants that were complaining have stopped. Smoking hasn't been completely banned, though. Places that make something like a 75% profit on alcohol sales can still allow smoking. Not that I'm saying this kind of legislation is a good thing ... I do admit that I like the comfort and convenience ... but in all of history lessons I've ever taken, I still haven't figured out where people get the idea this is what the government is for ( ... )
