This is too priceless!! I love the word play between Severus and Remus! Lol! Their back and forth is too amusing!!

"It was impossible not to smirk in triumph at the return of his given name. ...‘Snape’, from Remus Lupin, was as good as a curse-word from anyone else. ‘Severus’ implied a return of his more usual mind-set toward him, if nothing else."

Awe that's too cute! Poor in denial Severus! Lol!

*Off to the next chapter!* ^________^

Thank you very much. I adore Remus/Severus word-play, but I can't always capture it just right. :) I'm really glad you liked it.

I love your Lucius! More manipulative than cruel, and more of a friend to Snape than enemy. That's my favorite way to see Lucius, especially in Snupins.

Thank you! I like Manipulative!Lucius, but I also recognise that he was the first Slytherin to greet Severus warmly when he was sorted into Slytherin House. I like the Malfoy family as dangerous and manipulative, but definitely more Snape's friend than his enemy, as you say. In the end, they all wanted the same thing - to survive the war with their family intact. I do think Severus views them as the closest thing to 'family' has left.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story. :)
