People who generalize a group of people and scream at them piss me off,
Say, maybe a marching band?
I'm fucking sick and tired of getting screamed at because a few fucking idiots don't know what the fuck they're doing and don't have pride in what they're doing.

Know what you mean there.

It's the people who are the reason for the yelling that have really made -me- dislike the class this year. I, who devoted all of my time last year (and still am this year) to every aspect of band, marching and otherwise, am so glad that this is my last marching season I can't even begin to express it.

I'm just tired of people who never bring their brains on the field with them, and then the people who try just end up so frustrated that it's a big blob of 'nobody cares, let's just go home.' The whole thing is really disheartening.

Especially when your drum major is the one being ignored and she gets so pissed that she gives up giving direction and lets all the fucking morons wander around and waste time while the director screams until he's red in the face.

Freshmen never have any pride in their work, I swear.

Yeah.
Our flute section leader is our drum major.
She got so pissed, she sat down and gave up giving directions.
Band director comes out and its HULK SMASH!
People don't know how to march in step or even on the beat for that matter.
One of our sousa players, marches like a male pregnant hobo, its whorrifying.
None of the freshmen have pride in the band, they just use it as an excuse to get out of academic classes and don't want to put forth any enthusiasm in the program, so we suck there.
EVERYONE FUCKING TALKS WHEN THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO.
I swear, the only thing stopping them from talking while playing is the instrument in their mouth.
As soon as it comes out, they burst with talking, it disgusts me how much they piss of the director.
No one ever counts,
No one knows when to shut up.

I mean, by god, there's just a certain line when it's too far.
I'm about ready to beat everyone's face in with a fucking stand.

my best friend is clarinet section leader, and we have miss ditz [formerly known as the drum major]. both the lieutenants are getting high daily, and one of them refers to herself as the band slut ( ... )
