Of greater interest to me (since I already own about three copies of Portal, since it's been supplied with everything Half-Life based), is that Valve may be porting Steam to Linux, thus allowing us all to partake in the fun, without needing to use Windows.
Since Thursday... I am now running steam and portal on Mac OS X. It works, but they updated portal and it glitched (view through portals were only blackness). Forums had workaround and now they have patched it again to fix this.
The fundamental key to more gaming on non-Windows computers is the release dates. Simultaneous release on all platforms is the only way to sell on all platforms.
