I enjoyed Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk far more than I did Ed Norton as well (not that Norton was necessarily bad but Ruffalo just gives him much more personality)

And Natasha psyching out Loki was kick-ass.

And Stark & Banner being geeky lab buddies was AWESOME. XD

Actually the only person I DIDN‘T like was Loki. He was nice and complicated and sneaky in Thor and here he‘s just you average “Wha ha ha!“ villian (and not particularly bright)

I'm of the theory that Loki was being controlled, somewhat. At least heavily influenced.

Your fics are awesome as usual. I love how you get in characters heads.

The thing is, and please, PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, you totally go against the show, don't tell rule - when you break things down, very little action normally happens in your fics. They're usually structured around quiet moments and take place mostly in your POV character's head.

But you do it with such flare that it absolutely works. And you DO show but it's in little, subtle ways (like the description of Natasha with the herbs) that blend seamlessly into the inner monologue.

And it's absolutely the reason I read fan-fic in the first place - I want to find out what characters are thinking and feeling on a deeper level than can be conveyed in movies or TV,or even comic books. Prose lets you do that in a way other media don't. And the quiet times are perfect for that - again when characters are fighting for their lives and/or the world they are usually don't stop to think about subtle differences between them or analysing each other's personalities ( ... )

Thanks for a very thoughtful review!

And yes, writing fic and writing original fiction - at least the sort of fic I choose to write - tends to be completely different. And with this fic in particular, there wasn't a lot of editing involved - some brief going back to check for typos, but for the most part, what was in my head went on the page and, done. Which I suppose is a bit lazy, but very therapeutic - and the instant gratification of reviews and kudos doesn't hurt, either.
