It's funny what you run across working in the Senate Judiciary Office. This looks strangely familiar. Except it's thirty years old.

I find it interesting that no one anywhere on the Internet has ever suggested some kind of connection--though, most probably, minor--between the Decemberist's "We Both Go Down Together" and Matthew Arnold's "Dover Beach", especially with some kind of acknowledgment to Anthony Hecht's "The Dover Bitch ( Read more... )

Blasting the Nutcracker Suite, Op 71. Reading Holidays On Ice. Stringing lights on frontyard shrubbery. Cleaning my room. Cleaning my car. Making my holidays mine. If I have any time left I'm going to try and clean up my family, too.

Today my blue bandana necklace thing broke. This is the first time in one year and one-hundred and thirty days that I haven't had it around my neck.
