It's really good. My professor is excellent. So far we've read Kokoro by Natsume Soseki, Confessions of Love by Uno Chiyo and a short story by Mori Ogai. We also watched Rashomon and some other film. It may be my favorite class this semester.

Aww, I'm so jealous...I love Japanese culture. ;_; Gimme some good recommendations if you come across anything spectacular.

Issues in English Lit? I'm an English major, but honestly, Brandon, that sounds like the most useless class ever. What issues? Animal rights in Beowulf? Spousal abuse in Tess of the D'Urbervilles? The rights of the insane in Jane Eyre? Oh, I know; poverty in A Modest Proposal. I can go on, but you get the general drift. Oh, and as for the major periods part, I have one obscure/vulgar suggestion: Charlotte Perkins Gilman.

Chew on that.

Oh wow, I forgot to end the italics after Jane Eyre. Joke's on me.

After Tess, actually.

Did you know Gilman was the great-niece or something of Stowe? I guess it runs in the family.

No, I didn't. I ate quickly tonight because I had a meeting. Was it any good?
