My new bike - to be picked up in April

The weather is way depressing today. I don't normally get too affected (effected?) by the Scottish weather but cycling to work today in the pissing rain got me a bit down.

On the plus side, we're going to Girona, Spain on Sunday for two nights. I have rented a car and I am going to be driving. I have never driven anywhere apart from Canada.

I am so upset by the recent elections. I cannot believe that David Cameron is Prime Minister. I cannot believe that I am living under a Conservative government - albeit with the Liberal Democrats (who are like the NDP in Canada), propping up their minority Government. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I just made yummy roasted butternut squash, mushroom and spinach lasagne and apple caramel sweet cream cheese cake!!!!

I've booked the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City in September for Paul and I to stay at.

Anyone got suggestions/recommendations as to where to eat/ what to do?

So i came back to Canada for 10 days and for the most part spent it with my grandmother driving her back and forth from the hospital to see my Poppy and to keep her company. oh, and I am totally enthralled/ addicted to True Blood now. It isn't shown over here but I bought the first series on DVD and have been watching the second season online.

Anyone else watch it?

I'm looking at flights back to Toronto this late summer/ early fall and so far, the cheapest I have been able to find is about £258 pounds (around $500 Canadian) - with Thomas Cook. Not bad!
