That's exactly what I was hoping too :) Recent fics don't really seem to be getting the attention they deserve, which is a pity, because there are a lot of really excellent fics being published every day. Thanks for the support!

I heartily second the recommendation for "A Loved Girl." coincident is an excellent author, and her Founding Era fic is really good.

I may try to make a rec-list of my own at some point. Probably Akatsuki-centric, because that tends to be what I read the most of.

Aah, I feel you. There was a point where I found myself wishing that they'd give Akatsuki their own show. Tell me if you come across any interesting, recently written fics, because I ship any and all Akatsuki-related pairings :) And yes, coincident is excellent, I wish there were more of her founders stuff.

Yessssss, the Akatsuki totally deserved their own spinoff! If you're interested in Akatsuki pairings, I've actually written a few myself (my page on ff.net is here). It's mostly PainKonan, but I've also written ItaKonan and ItaDei.

Pain's incredible, I'm glad to know of the existence of decent fic about him out there. And thanks, this makes wading through the fics much easier. ItaDei, really, though? There's one pairing I've never understood, but I'll give it a try. :) Let me know if you find any others.

one that i am loving at the moment is A Litter of Misfits. Main pairing is kinda Danzour/Tsume, but it's also somewhat Everyone/Tsume. There's child rape in this fic, so care for that if it's not something you want to see.

it's a great and well written fic, which is updated often.

Kingdoms rise and fall for the want of a nail. Shimura Danzo desperately wants Konoha as his kingdom, but collides headlong with a nail named Inuzuka Tsume.

Uchiha Madara wants to destroy Konoha, but forgot about the consequences of nails and the wants thereof.

Inuzuka Tsume just wants a pack of puppies, but she inevitably builds an empire with her strays, including a newborn Kakashi abandoned at birth by his mother, a naked 3 year old Naruto seeking refuge in Tsume's dog kennels in the dead of winter… and a cranky old man named Danzo. (Tsume always had questionable taste.)

The way that all the clans probably have legends and beliefs of their own, independent of their village, is such a great concept. Also, the day I can stop staring at your icon and grinning idiotically to myself is the day I regain my long-lost sense of self-esteem. YOUR ICON WINS FOREVER. :)
