I want to thank everyone for their condolences, to start with. I've dropped back around home briefly and there were cards and flowers and casseroles lining the footpath to the front door, as well as lots of owl droppings. All the things are inside now and I'm sorry but I've not opened any of them, probably won't for a day or a few yet

Mr. Weasley, I don't want to burden you with words that can't be answered right now. But my Gran and I wanted to suggest you and Mrs. Weasley should ask the St. Mungo's staff for a consultation with Dr. Byatt; he's semi-retired, but he's considered the very best in the field. The St. Mungo's staff will also probably give you his book Analysing Neuro-physiological Magical Injuries if you ask; it's well-written and quite understandable for a layperson to read.

My Gran and I understand, Mr. Weasley. She said to please owl her if you get to the point that you want to talk to someone who really knows what you're going through.

But if you don't, that's all right. We understand that, too.
