Got the robocall from Best Buy telling me that I can pick it my laptop. It turned out Geek squad had to wipe the HD and reinstall Windows. At least, they backed up ITunes for me. (It was a hassle recreating the song library last time ( Read more... )

How is the Llama doing, anyway? It's been aaaaaaaages since we've seen him online anywhere!

How much did the Geek Squad charge? I'm nosing around for estimates for future knowledge and such.

Llama is doing fine. He's kept busy most of the time taking care of his mother (in early stages of Alzheimer's.)

As for Geek Squad, they charges $100 to back up data. (I'm a fool who didn't back up Itunes or documents.) They charged $130 for the OS service (2-5 days, 2-4 weeks if it had to be sent out). Hope that helps.
